Inertia was engaged as Project Manager on this 28 two and three-storey townhouse development as well as providing our civil and structural engineering services. Our Project Management scope included the management of the development application, building and operational works approvals, through to civil tender campaign and contract administration.
The development application process was streamlined due to the fact that our civil and structural services were able to work closely with each other and the Project Manager, resolving issues in a quick and efficient manner. By delivering the concept design, Inertia’s engineering team was then in an excellent position to follow the project through to completion. This entailed structural engineering design of the houses as well as the civil design of the internal roads, stormwater and water and sewerage.
Our team reviewed the development’s conditions and focused our delivery on the critical elements to ensure this project was a success. This included maximising grades to the site to minimise fill at the rear boundary, developing the most efficient stormwater detention and treatment solution as well as limiting retaining wall sizes and complexity where possible.
