House of the Year! Inertia proud to be part of an award winning team!
Congratulations to Mancorp Quality Homes on their Master Builders award for House of the Year for it’s ‘Island Hideaway Home’. The home was spread over two blocks of land and three levels with uninterrupted views of Pumicestone Passage and the Glass House Mountains.
The project was a welcomed challenge for Inertia’s Housing team with features such as; the house being made up of 6 pavilion buildings connected by curved steel framed corridors, high ceilings (up to 3.6m in some rooms), large glazing walls including frameless corners to maximise views and a roof hung steel and glass floating stair enclosure over the pool between residence levels. Should we go on? Well…it also has a basement wine cellar and large areas of reflection pools built flush to the walls of the house, something our engineers could have used during the design!
The list could go on! Our team is pretty stoked about being a part of this project and are looking forward to the next challenge!
