Civil Team Provides Foundations For Spectacular Riverfront Development

Inertia’s civil team have been hard at work helping to develop a new iconic residence for Brisbane’s Kangaroo Point. Comprising three 10 storey towers, totalling 200 residential apartments, the project is being developed by Pikos Group with Kowalski Architects and Laud Ink providing the stunning design concepts.

Designed to function independently the towers have separate servicing strategies and will benefit from deep planting, outdoor communal spaces and rooftop terraces to make the most of their riverfront location.

Inertia has undertaken the lead civil engineering component, providing advice in aspects of site layout, working with other consultants to achieve the best outcome for the development as well as the preparation of civil engineering strategies and reporting.

Project leader Daley Curran stated “One of the key aspects of any medium-rise residential development is the management of water. We undertook a full analysis of the site to understand and map the existing sewer and stormwater network and identify any potential flood risks.”

“We then worked with the client to propose diversion and management strategies that would ensure the project would meet approval criteria, without compromising the integrity of the overall project design.”
