Inertia Boosts Structural Team with Key Appointments

Inertia Engineering has continued its growth with the appointment of Sean Stacey and Clayton Taylor to the firms structural engineering arm.

Sean joins the firm as Principal of Buildings and with his primary objective being to lead Inertia’s major commercial building projects and to strengthen the company’s expertise and capability in the delivery of public building projects.

Throughout his career, Sean has delivered Structural Engineering for a broad range of building developments in Australia and overseas, including major projects in the resources, transport, healthcare, education, retail and arts sectors. He has substantial experience in leading design teams on both small and large scale construction projects from initial concept through the design phase to completion of site works and hand-over.

On his appointment, Sean outlined his excitement at his role “I’m delighted to have joined Inertia. Sean holds a BEng(Civil)Hons, Queensland University of Technology, is a Member, Institute of Engineers Australia, a Chartered Professional Engineer, Institute of Engineers Australia and RPEQ.

Joining the team as Senior Structural Engineer, Clayton will support the design and delivery of Inertia’s portfolio of commercial building projects and focus on developing Inertia’s experience in education projects.

A senior structural engineer with almost a decade of post-graduate experience in structural engineering, Clayton has undertaken design and management roles for projects in retail, residential, education, health and aged care. Clayton also has significant hands-on site and construction supervision experience gained in the role of site engineer on two large indigenous housing projects in the Northern Territory.

Clayton holds a BEng (Civil and Construction) Hons, Queensland University of Technology, is a Member, Institute of Engineers Australia, a Chartered Professional Engineer, Institute of Engineers Australia and RPEQ.
