Inertia Expands Services Through Merger With Hilton Reid
Inertia Engineering is delighted to announce a merger with Hilton Reid Consulting that will see the specialist engineering consultancy expand its core service offering to meet the increasing demand for expertise across industrial and resources projects.
Managing Director, Scott Clements, outlined what the merger means for all parties, “We are delighted to have merged Hilton Reid Consulting into Inertia Engineering. The merger enables Inertia to continue our expansion, increase our service offering and leverage the expertise of Hilton to support existing and new projects across Australia.”
“There is no doubt that the resources and industrial land development sectors are going to go from strength to strength over the coming years. Having Hilton join Inertia improves our capacity and capability to provide project solutions to support our clients’ major industrial developments.”
Hilton Reid Consulting was established in 1988 and specialised in the civil, structural and architectural consulting to the resources and industrial development sectors. Over the past 30 years, they have supported the delivery of some fantastic projects including the flagstone retail, medical and service station at Bundamba Travel Centre, Bromelton Quarry, South Pine River low profile quarry haul route bridges and Bellwood Industrial Park.
Hilton Reid welcomed the opportunity to become part of Inertia, “I have worked with Inertia for some time and built a long-standing relationship with Scott and his team, so when the opportunity came to join forces it was a natural fit.”
“Having Hilton Reid Consulting and myself become part of Inertia will provide significant benefits and value to both organisation’s client bases and creates a leading consultancy capable of supporting the next generation of Industrial and Resources developments across Australia,” said Hilton.
“I am delighted that my right-hand man for 10 years, Geoff Barney, is also joining the Inertia team. As Senior Architectural Technician, Geoff will continue to apply his passion to deliver efficient building designs for both our longstanding clients and for many new ones.”
Along with Hilton and Geoff, Inertia’s Josh Falco will be responsible for the continued development of the Industrial and Resources sectors for the organisation. “Having established himself as a leading member of the team, Josh has a proven track record of delivering exceptional outcomes for Inertia’s clients. He is the natural fit to lead the ongoing development of a vital sector,” said Scott.
Having recently been promoted to Senior Structural Engineer and having gained his RPEQ and Chartership, this next opportunity could not have come at a better time.
“I cannot wait to work with Hilton and Scott to support projects in the Industrial and Resources sectors. With major projects like Inland Rail creating new opportunities for industrial development, logistics hubs and opening up access to resources, it is an exciting time to be planning and delivering the critical infrastructure required to generate a return on the investment made in a once in a generation investment in rail transport,” said Josh.
