Inertia’s Leadership Development Series
This month, we wrapped up the final module of our Leadership Development Series, facilitated by Daniel Wright from Thryve Connection. Here’s what Dan and the team had to say about the experience:
Dan: “Inertia’s Leadership Development Series offered participants an opportunity to explore leadership from three perspectives: teams, projects, and clients. The immediate impact was a greater understanding of the vital importance of communication: the element that underpins all effective leadership. Learning with peers requires time to explore issues and apply frameworks in new and creative ways. The Inertia team embraced this with the same passion they bring to their client work.
Co-creating this leadership development series with Scott Clements and Gregg Hoesman ensured that the series focused on real-world conversations in a safe and creative space to learn and grow. I am grateful to have had this opportunity to work with Scott, Gregg, and every member of the Inertia team who took part.”
Scott Clements, Managing Director of Inertia, added: “We wanted to create a program that would not only support the development of our leaders and emerging leaders, but would also be uniquely ‘Inertian’. This was achieved by collaborating with Dan, whom we’ve worked with for approximately 10 years. Dan guided us through each of the 4 key elements of the program, combining our goals and input with his knowledge and expertise to create and deliver a bespoke and successful leadership development program which we will continue to build on to support our people.”
Casey Shea, Senior Civil Engineer, shared: “Participating in Inertia’s leadership program was a valuable experience that encouraged me to reflect on my leadership approach and role within the team. I gained valuable insights from both Dan and the team, especially around handling difficult conversations.”
