Civil Engineer – Water

Inertia has a great opportunity for an Engineer experienced in water modelling and analysis to expand their skills in flood engineering. Inertia is an engineering consultancy specialising in the delivering civil, structural, and water engineering solutions for clients within the built environment. Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent
• Industry accreditation/membership desirable
• 2+ years’ experience in stormwater and flood engineering within the design and construction industry environment in QLD
• Experience in preparing Stormwater Management Plans (SMPs), Hydrologic Impact Assessments (HIAs), Flood Studies, general stormwater/flood correspondence and Drainage Studies
• Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Australian Rainfall and Runoff 2019 (ARR2019) and the Queensland Urban Drainage Manual (QUDM)
• Knowledge of and ability to apply engineering principles to comply with scope of works and technical criteria
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills
• Ability to utilize priority software such as TUFLOW, MUSIC, and QGIS for flood modelling and analysis is desirable but not essential. We can train you if you have the passion
