Parkside Carindale Retirement Living

Parkside residents experience an aged care community lifestyle unmatched in retirement living. The complex boasts an array of community facilities, arbour links between buildings, landscaped gardens and is conveniently located near the Westfield Carindale Shopping Centre.

Inertia is providing structural engineering services for stage 4; the new Vista Residences building which will offer 100 apartments over 9 levels, each with a private balcony or terrace overlooking adjacent parklands, as well as ample undercover parking for 100 vehicles.

Key challenges include integrating the connected basement and podium into the already existing stage 3 structure without impacting the accessibility and functionality of already complete stages. In addition, our design had to allow for future stages to be integrated into the overall complex, achieved by a continuation of the basement and ground floor with the remainder of the masterplan. Site constraints and complex architecture have been central to our thinking and have driven a need for creative structural solutions to maximise design efficiency and provide the best outcome for our client and Parkside’s current and future residents.
