Inertia delivering a Childcare facility development in Windsor

Inertia has been commissioned to provide our project management service as well as civil and structural engineering services for a childcare facility in Windsor located directly above the ‘Airport-Link’ volumetric tunnel easement.  The project involves retrofitting the existing circa 1896 heritage dwelling and construction of a new two-storey building to the rear of the site.

Our key responsibilities on this project are to manage the co-ordination between heritage dwelling constraints, the requirements of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and the Office of Early Childhood Education and Care (OECEC), as well as the future operator’s requirements whilst maintaining compliance with the Development Approval.

During the design development phase of the project, our team was able to identify several cost saving opportunities for the structure and on-site stormwater detention that will save the developer over $25,000.

We are looking forward to collaborating with the project’s consultant team to help streamline the Building Approval process and to providing advice in services coordination for accurate construction documentation.
