New Inertians join our growing team!

We have welcomed three new Inertians over the past couple of months and thought we’d introduce you to them!  Brendon, Kai and Emily bring heaps of drafting and design experience and have been a welcome addition to their respective teams.  Here is a bit more info on each of them:

Brendon Goettler joins our Land and Flood Team as a civil designer-drafter.  He brings with him over 7 years experience in water and underground infrastructure for council and residential projects.  Brendon is passionate about innovation within drafting and design technology and is always looking to find new and better ways to improve processes and expand his knowledge of design software.  His interests include mountain biking, hiking and stand-up paddle boarding as well as a love of music and sport.

Kai Xu joins our Building team as a structural drafter-designer.  He has over 10 years experience in structural drafting and design on a variety of projects including industrial, commercial, residential and public buildings.  A quick learner, he has already become an integral part of the team!   Kai tells us that his love of engineering dates back to his childhood and the sense of achievement he felt when completing the assembly of a ship, car or building model.  Like Hannibal from the A-Team, he liked it when a plan came together.  A recent Queenslander, Kai is still amazed that what we just went through is called winter.  In his spare time, Kai enjoys jogging, swimming and playing b-ball.

Emily Boone also joins our Building team as a structural drafter-designer.  Emily came for a vacation to Brisbane from Perth more than a decade ago.  While here, she became fascinated with the unique character of Queensland structures so she decided to stay and has been designing them ever since!  Emily is currently completing an engineering degree to further her knowledge to be able to design and engineer buildings of all types.  Emily’s hobbies include “paying rent” at Bunnings, outdoor adventures and having a relaxing glass of wine with friends.
