From Intern to Inertian – Welcome Hannah

There were big smiles around the office this week when Hannah Qiao turned from intern into fully fledged Inertian, joining the team as a Graduate Engineer.

Holding a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from University of Queensland, Hannah will join Inertia’s civil team and could not be happier at securing her first role in her chosen industry, “I’m very excited to work with Inertia “officially”, after my three months of internship. I love the working environment and workplace culture here, everyone is dedicated to their job and maintains a work life balance.

“As a graduate engineer, I expect there will be a lot of upcoming challenges and a lot to learn. But that’s the fun part of being an engineer, and exactly the reason why I quit my physiotherapist degree and became a Civil Engineer.” said Hannah.

Principal, Calvin Kirk, welcomed Hannah to the team “Over the last few years Inertia has grown to become a 30 strong team of professionals. A key part of that growth has been our investment in talented graduates who will help us to build our business as they build their careers. Hannah will be a fantastic addition to the team and for us there is nothing better than helping a new engineering graduate to put their skills into practice.”

Originally from Tianjin, China, Hannah has called Brisbane home for the last 10 years and balances her working life with a love of cooking and travel, which will see Hannah embark on an epic trip to the Himalayas in late 2019.
