Indooroopilly State School – Project Announcement
Inertia is excited to announce our involvement in the creation of a new 4-storey Administration building with general learning areas and basement carpark, at Indooroopilly State School. Through the Queensland Department of Education project, in collaboration with Wiley and Open Architecture Studio, we have redesigned the layout of the building to improve visibility and access from the Russell Terrace entrance through to Singleton Oval.
It is exciting to be working on an education project that incorporates architecturally considered design features alongside exploring interesting structural engineering strategies to enhance the architectural intent. We take great pride in our work in delivering new facilities that benefit the staff and students.
Inertia’s civil and structural services have contributed to aligning the columns and eliminating transfer structures with long span post tensioned floors slabs. We have also contributed to the basement level, reducing excavation in rock, and removing truckloads of material from suburban roads.
Looking forward to seeing this project come to life!
