Inertia LandAI set to speed up approvals and construction

In a bid to speed up design approvals and maximise opportunities to expedite construction, Inertia Engineering in partnership with Civix has launched Inertia LandAI.

The new offering uses new technologies and software solutions for engineering design of land subdivisions created by New Zealand software firm, AllsiteAi. AllsiteAi brings advanced design and modelling capabilities to the mix through its innovative software.

Inertia LandAI is a strategic collaboration that blends AllsiteAi’s AI-driven design and analysis engine with Civix’s modelling and design capacity and Inertia’s trusted local engineering experience in South East Queensland and beyond.

“Inertia LandAI represents our commitment to innovation and smarter outcomes,” said Managing Director of Inertia Engineering, Scott Clements.

“By combining our team’s expertise with AllsiteAi’s incredible engine and Civix’s workforce capacity, we’re empowering clients with clarity, speed, and confidence from day one.”

Inertia LandAI offers AI-powered feasibility assessments and site analysis in days, instead of weeks or months, along with real-time scenario testing that allows developers to explore “what-if” options, adjusting layouts, grading, or servicing to quickly see impacts.

It provides full design and documentation for:

  • Grading plans
  • Road and lot layouts
  • Earthworks balancing
  • Servicing analysis
  • Retaining wall solutions
  • And more – all visualised in interactive 3D models.

According to Mr Clements, the new tool also empowers clients to make better decisions earlier, improving project outcomes.
Inertia LandAI will benefit those land developers, project managers, planners, property investors, and urban designers looking to gain a competitive edge and avoid costly delays or missteps.

It is particularly suited to master planned communities and complex infill sites.

“Inertia LandAI represents the future of early-stage land development – intelligent, efficient, and locally grounded,” added Mr Clements.

“This isn’t just about software – it’s about rethinking how we approach feasibility and land planning.”

Nick Mattison, Director at Civix, highlighted the critical role that early-stage decisions shape the entire life of a project, both technically and commercially.

“Inertia LandAI equips clients with the clarity they need right from the outset — helping avoid missteps, reduce risk, and accelerate approvals. We’ve seen firsthand how this approach drives better outcomes, and we’re excited to deliver the same value to the Australian market in collaboration with Inertia.”

Adding to this, Sam Blackbourn, Director at Civix, emphasised that the partnership is about more than great technology, it’s about shared ambition and a deep understanding of what developers truly need.

“By combining Civix’s AI expertise with Inertia’s on-the-ground experience, we’re introducing a new standard for land development that’s faster, smarter, and deeply connected to local realities. Inertia LandAI reflects a new way of thinking, and we’re proud to be part of that shift.”
