International Women in Engineering Day 2025

On 26 June, Inertia proudly celebrated International Women in Engineering Day by hosting students from San Sisto College and UQ CESA (Civil Engineering Student Association) at our office.

With the theme “Together, We Engineer,” the day spotlighted the power of collaboration, inclusion, and diverse voices in shaping the future of engineering. Students heard from our engineers about what structural, civil, and flood engineering is, explored the Western Creek flood gate on a walking tour, and took on the challenge of building spaghetti and marshmallow towers!

We are proud to help inspire the next generation of female engineers and show just how creative, hands-on, and impactful it can be.
