International Women in Engineering Day 2026

On Tuesday, we celebrated International Women in Engineering Day with a day of reflection and thought-provoking discussion.

We kicked things off with a morning tea where Inertians shared their experiences by answering questions such as, “What’s one word that describes your career?” We also invited everyone to leave a message of appreciation for a woman in the industry who inspires them, creating a collection of thoughful messages from across the business.

In the evening, a group of us attended Engineers Australia‘s Debate Night, where the topic posed a compelling question: “Will the future of engineering leadership favour collaborative intelligence or technical dominance?” Both sides presented strong arguments, sparking plenty of discussion among us. Opinions were changed by the end of the night!
