Inertian Insight – August 2022

OUR PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Satellite Hospitals

Inertia provided services for 4 of the 7 new Satellite Hospitals as part of Queensland Health’s initiative. These hospitals, located at Caboolture, Kallangur, Eight Mile Plains, Bribie Island, Redland Bay, Ripley, and Tugun, aim to provide convenient and community-focused healthcare services in fast-growing urban areas, reducing the strain on nearby hospitals. Each facility features a single-storey building with medical consultation and procedure rooms, as well as on-grade parking. Inertia’s expertise contributed to designing efficient structural framing solutions to manage material costs effectively.

In addition to structural design, Inertia worked closely with architects, landscape architects, and traffic engineers to develop functional site layouts, with particular attention paid to overcoming the challenging topography at the Eight Mile Plains site. By balancing technical demands and site-specific conditions, Inertia played a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of these vital community health facilities.

Parklands at Clarendon

Inertia provided civil engineering consultancy services to help in the transformation of an old rifle range located within the beautiful Somerset Regional Council. Services included operational works approvals, construction supervision/contract administration, and certification of the final civil products.

Located just a short drive away from Rifle Range and Fernvale, the 101-hectare site is set to be transformed into stunning rural home sites ranging in size from 3,593m2 to 9,560m2. Panned for release over 7 stages, Inertia is proud to be involved in the sustainable development of such a picturesque pocket of land.

BACK AT HQ

New Inertia Office

We are delighted to officially announce the expansion of our Inertia offices to the coastal city of Gladstone, Central Queensland!

With the seed planted for opportunities outside of South East Queensland, born and bred local Tim Reynolds decided to make the move back to his hometown earlier this year.

“Gladstone is an undersupplied market with a huge focus on investment in hydrogen developments. People are making their way back to the region, and with that comes a lot of opportunity for our industry. Personally, I love the relaxed lifestyle this town affords. The best description I have heard is ‘Just a 10-minute drive from work, and a 20-minute boat ride to the Reef'”, said Tim, Gladstone Lead.

Meet our Associates

Joining Joshua Falco and Ryan Llewelyn, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Nathan GreenJodie Egan and Jed Michel to our team of Associates.

“These Inertians have shown leadership and high performance in both the technical and cultural aspects of their roles. This is a recognition of their ongoing investment and contribution to making Inertia a great place to work” Scott Clements, Managing Director.

“A business is about its people. There is nothing better than a home-grown hero, someone who gives 100%, who inspires others to embrace the opportunities that come their way” Dave Kelly, Director & Founder.

Reflecting on this transformation and the opportunies ahead, we are very excited to launch our new website, filled to the brim with the people, culture and projects we are proud of.

A huge thank you to the incredible team of creatives that helped us bring this refresh to life – The Content LabDSR Branding and Social Beast. And to our Inertians for being the best models, of course.
