Inertian Insight – July 2024
OUR PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
Satellite Hospitals Queensland
Inertia is extremely proud to have partnered with Hutchinson Builders in helping deliver 4 of the 7 new Satellite Hospitals as part of Queensland Health’s Satellite Hospitals Program. With locations at Caboolture, Kallangur, Eight Mile Plains, Bribie Island, Redland Bay, Ripley, and Tugun, this Australian-first initiative is delivering convenient and community-focused healthcare services in growing urban areas, to alleviate pressure on nearby hospitals. Each facility consists of a single-storey building containing medical consultation and procedure rooms, as well as on-grade car parking. Working closely with the design team, efficient structural framing layouts for the buildings were devised, which served to mitigate escalating material costs.
Join us in celebrating the completion of all 7 locations!
Supporting community is hugely important to the Inertia team and this project has been an opportunity for us to contribute in a vastly impactful way, and we are excited to be continuing our work with Hutchinson on Bribie Island’s new Cancer Care extension. Stay tuned for more updates to come.
Fingal Street, Tarragindi
We are excited to have worked on these two beautiful new houses at Fingal Street in Tarragindi, alongside our friends at Batspac and Esat Design. ‘Luna’ and ‘Ilios’ both feature sleek curves with luxury finishes complimenting the modern Mediterranean design.
With features including expansive open plan indoor-outdoor living spaces, creeping plants draping from first floor planters, impressive stonework and stunning pool areas, these homes exude luxury Mediterranean vibes.

Inertia Connected
This month, Inertia and Buildcorp came together for an enjoyable outing at X-Golf in Southbank. We believe that strong partnerships are built on more than just business. They thrive on communication, connection, and shared experiences. Our teams bonded over some friendly competition, great conversations, and refreshing beverages, all while perfecting their swings and getting to know each other better.
ELEVATION CELEBRATION!
Congratulations to our worthy team member, Dutch Leistner, on his promotion to Team Lead in the Structural Housing Drafting Team at Inertia. Dutch is consistently honing his skills and using his 14 years of industry experience to be a role model and leader within the team. Dutch’s passion for producing quality documentation drives his ability to inspire his colleagues to achieve greatness for every project. As a Team Lead, Dutch will work with his team to grow their skills and achieve individual and team goals.
Please join us in celebrating Dutch’s outstanding achievement!
INERTIANS OUT AND ABOUT
Chicken in the Park: Winter Edition
The perfect way to warm up on a cool winter’s day in Brisbane is to have some delicious hot chicken in the park. Big thanks to the Inertia Culture Committee for making these picnics happen and to Good Lookin’ Rooster for providing us with our finger-linking winter feast.
Buildings Team Go Karting Fun!
Last Friday, our Buildings Team unleashed their competitive spirit at Slideways with an exhilarating afternoon of Go Karting! The race was intense, and the fun was non-stop. We capped off the night with delicious food and refreshing drinks at Breakfast Creek Hotel, enjoying great company and lively conversations.

Inertia Office Olympics
To celebrate the 2024 Olympics, the Inertia Culture Committee put together our very own Office Olympics. Inertians competed over 5 hotly contested events – the office chair race, archery, pencil javelin, post it note discus and waste paper basketball. It was an exciting afternoon of fun enjoyed by all. The perfect way to end the week and get the weekend relaxation started.
Our winners, Adam Iiverse, Aaron Knight and Juan Mantilla, brought their competitive edge to blitz the competition, adorning them with the coveted Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
A big thanks to Luke Grzesiczak and Jess Heath for organising the first Inertia Office Olympics!
