Broadbeach Tavern, Broadbeach

Partnering with Cayas Architects, Inertia Engineering was engaged to assist with reinventing the existing Broadbeach Tavern on the Gold Coast to appeal to the modern pub patron, whilst expanding its footprint in the Oasis Shopping Centre. To achieve this the entire venue was gutted through a staged process which saw part of the pub remaining open at all times ensuring continued revenue flow.

Through the use of open and less clearly defined spatial planning coupled with high quality but relatable finishes and detailing the venue design responds to its beachside environment.

Inertia worked closely with the architect and builder to create structural engineering solutions to satisfy the under-designed existing structure and accommodate the required fitout to give the client a modern beachfront bar whilst trading simultaneously.
