McAnally Drive, Sunshine Beach

This stunning beachside home takes full advantage of its ideal location in Sunshine Beach with several cantilevers, large open spans and extensive glass walls to showcase an uninterrupted panoramic view spanning from north of the National Park to Mooloolaba. Over 3-storeys, this home features 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, multiple living areas and a deck overlooking the ocean.

Inertia provided the structural engineering services for this project to achieve Gavin Maddock’s spectacular and dynamic design. One challenge which Inertia had to overcome was ensuring stability and practicality of construction due to the steep sloping site. Additionally, the cantilevers and large spans throughout the house required various structural solutions to be reviewed.

Despite these engineering challenges, we worked closely with Gavin Maddock Design Studio and GV Emanuel Constructions to achieve a stunning result.
