McAnally Drive, Sunshine Beach

This stunning beachside home takes full advantage of its ideal location in Sunshine Beach with several cantilevers, large open spans, and extensive glass walls to showcase an uninterrupted panoramic view spanning from north of the National Park to Mooloolaba. Over 3-storeys, this home features 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, multiple living areas, and a deck overlooking the ocean.

Inertia provided the structural engineering services to achieve Gavin Maddock’s spectacular design. One challenge that Inertia had to overcome was ensuring stability and practicality of construction due to the steep sloping site. Additionally, the cantilevers and large spans throughout the house required various structural solutions to be reviewed.
