Toowong Football Club Fields

Situated in a high-risk flood zone along the Brisbane River, the site experienced floodwaters up to 4.1 metres deep during the 2011 floods. Proposed earthworks initially posed flood risks to 40 nearby residential and commercial properties. To mitigate this, we conducted detailed 2D hydraulic modelling to assess flooding scenarios. This enabled us to optimise the earthworks, extending the fields without impacting surrounding properties.

Our solution delivered an additional full-sized playing field for Toowong Football Club while safeguarding the floodplain.
