Norths Devils League Club, Nundah

Norths Devils are something of a Rugby League powerhouse having been home to some of the most famous names in the sport. And thanks to a recent $4million renovation, the Norths Devils Leagues Club now packs as impressive a starting line-up as the legends of the club. Inertia Engineering was engaged alongside Cayas Architects to reinvent the facility, adding a significant extension, new entry, bars, gaming facilities and restaurant.

Boasting a 190 seat restaurant, kids room overlooked by the restaurant, 50 seat café/bar lounge, sports bar with 2x 135 inch big screens and eight additional televisions, brand new extended kitchen, 93 gaming machines, and exciting new touches throughout the venue, Norths Devils League club is a facility worthy of the club’s traditions.

Working with an existing building can be challenging, especially one that is open for business and is a busy social hub for the local community. Our approach was to put the club’s users and staff first and to undertake work after meticulously planning every stage so that operations and customer experience was not compromised. We achieved this by channelling our inner champions half back and play by play moved facilities and services around the club ensuring minimal impact on users. Considering works included installing piles close to a trading club, and the development of a double roof structure we are extremely pleased with the outcome.
