New Addition To Structural Team

To meet the increased demand for our services in the structural sector, we are delighted to welcome Matthew Gibbs to the team.

Matthew Gibbs joins as a Senior Structural Engineer as a result of Inertia’s increased work in the medium-rise residential and commercial sectors. Matthew was welcomed to the team by Managing Director Scott Clements. “ On behalf of the team, I’d like to welcome Matthew to Inertia. We are experiencing significant growth in high quality, premium residential and commercial developments in Brisbane and Matthew’s skills and experience will help us to continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients’ projects.”

With extensive experience in designing timber-framed, healthcare, commercial buildings and low to medium-rise multistory residential buildings, Matthew will bring additional expertise and capacity to a team that is rapidly building a reputation for its innovative approach to creating solutions for our clients’ projects.

Matthew outlined his reasoning for taking the next step in his career at Inertia “I am delighted to have joined Inertia. When you look at organisations to take your career to the next stage, Inertia was the top of the list. They have helped to create Australian firsts such as the Midtown Centre and are regularly producing work of the highest possible design standards such as Rhythm on the Beach, Aspire Chermside and Camp Hill Market Place. It is an exciting time to join an organisation with such an incredible track record.”

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Civil Engineering (Hons) from Griffith University and joins from Michael Bale & Associates where he worked on multistory residential concrete framed buildings with the 18 and 20 storeys twin-tower development of Gallery House at Portside being a major project. Before that, he worked for Westera Partners where he worked on residential and commercial buildings, specialising in luxury residential construction.
