Gawthern Drive, Pimpama

Inertia provided civil engineering services for this 75-townhouse development on Gawthern Drive on the Gold Coast. Acting as the superintendent, our team is responsible for contract administration of all civil related items.

Big SEQ storm events mean that this project required large stormwater diversion channels. The main onsite contributing tributary to Oakey Creek in Pimpama can handle approximately 15m³ per second and associated storage in the 100-year event. That means the channel conveys approximately 1 swimming pool of water every 3 seconds!
