Inertian Insight – September 2023

OUR PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

The Avenues

What’s better than a trip to Apple country? Especially when you return home with a box of delicious Queensland apples.

Inertia’s Land and Water Group Lead, Ryan Llewelyn and Graduate Civil Engineer, Daniela Nino Carrasco headed to Stanthorpe in Queensland’s Granite Belt for a site visit at one of our exciting subdivision projects. Stage 1A of The Avenues, located at Sugarloaf Road will see the first 14 lots created for the multi-staged rural residential development, totaling 140 lots.

Developed by Andreatta Developments, the project will be characterised by large 4000m2 blocks that will offer the best of rural living with easy access to beautiful Stanthorpe.

Congratulations to Stratum Civil, who have been awarded the civil construction contract for this project and we look forward to bringing you updates from the project as it progresses from concept to reality.

It was a memorable day for Dani; Scott Naude of Andreatta Developments gifted the greenfield team a box of delicious apples, grown by Andreatta Developments Director and apple farmer – Renato Andreatta, and our South American chica devoured her first ever apple pie!

INERTIA CONNECT

Musical Connection

Musical Connection revealed more about our amazing team at our recent annual event, Inertia Connect 2023. The day truly highlighted the importance of togetherness, to create a symphony that harmonises with our core values.

Upon reflection, many in the team came to the realisation that even the best of communicators may need to attune to the non-verbal cues of others and even change techniques to make the ‘sound’ better.

Being self-aware of our innate need to syncronise our daily interactions was a key takeaway at this memorable event. We are delighted to take this journey of personal development that will in turn create a stronger, more productive team reminiscent of an orchestral ensemble. Hear from our Inertians; what they love most about working at Inertia Engineering.

INERTIANS OUT AND ABOUT

Urbanity 2023

Inertians Scott Clements, Emma Clements, Gregg Hoesman, Joshua Falco, Sean Stacey and Emma Skea joined industry leaders at The Urban Developer’s 2023 Urbanity Conference at the Gold Coast.

Engaging presentations from industry experts were delivered through keynotes, panels, workshops and discussions. These covered a wide spectrum, including urban development, sustainability and the complexities of creating smarter cities. Our team enjoyed the insights and connections made while being inspired and motivated to contribute to the innovation and shaping cities of the future.

The stunning Gold Coast was the perfect location as it illustrates the very essence we celebrate at #Urbanity2023!

RUOK? Day

This month we paused to contemplate the significance of RUOK? Day. It serves as a vital reminder that being available and present for one another is not an occasional act, but a daily commitment.

This day isn’t just about awareness, social events, and indulging in treats; it’s a moment to cultivate a culture of gratitude amongst our Inertians. That’s why we have created a special Box of Gratitude, for each one of us to contribute our thoughts and feelings – the things we often think about each other but don’t always say.

By taking this positive step, we are encouraging a shift towards thoughtfulness in our daily interactions; looking out for signs that someone may need a kind word or deed and showing by our actions that we are here to support one another. Together, we are creating a workplace that nurtures well-being and connection.
